Survival Minecraft: Java servers

Survival on Java splits along two lines that matter more than anything else on a listing: how the world is protected, and how old it is. Servers with land claims (GriefPrevention, Towny) let you build anywhere and walk away; unprotected ones assume you hide your base. Ask when the map last reset — a two-year-old world means established towns and picked-over terrain, while a fresh one means everyone starts level.
