Competitive Minecraft: Java servers

Competitive Java servers run ranked ladders, scrims or tournaments instead of open-world play, usually built around PvP practice, Bedwars or UHC. Two things decide whether the rank means anything: the anti-cheat, and whether the ladder resets by season so someone new can still climb it. Region matters more here than anywhere else on this list — a 120 ms disadvantage in a 1v1 isn't something skill compensates for, so pick a host near you.
